Menu Categories

The Menu Categories section helps merchants organize their products or services into structured categories, making it easier for customers to browse and find what they need. Categories improve the navigation experience and allow better presentation of different offerings.

  1. Accessing the Menu Categories Section
    • Navigate to Menu Manager > Menu Categories in your dashboard.
    • This page displays all existing categories and allows you to add, edit, or delete them.
  2. Creating a New Category
    • Click “Add New” to create a new category.
  3. Configuring Category Details
    • Name: Enter a name for the category (e.g., “Beverages,” “Clothing,” or “Accessories”).
    • Description: Provide a brief description of what items fall under this category.
    • Featured Image: Upload an image that visually represents the category.
    • Icon Image: Choose a smaller icon for quick recognition.
    • Specification: Add additional details relevant to this category.
    • Publish Status: Toggle Publish ON to make the category visible to customers.
  4. Managing Category Availability
    • Click on Availability to set specific time slots when this category should be available after adding the category.
    • Enable or disable days of the week and set From-To times if the category is only available during certain hours.
  5. Saving and Managing Categories
    • Click Save to finalize the category setup.
    • You can return anytime to edit, rearrange, or delete categories.
    • Use the toggle switch in the Category List to enable or disable a category instantly.
  6. Sorting and Searching Categories
    • Use the Sort button to reorder categories.
    • Use the Search Bar to quickly find a specific category.
