The Item Preferences section allows merchants to define specific customization options for their products or services. While often used for food-related preferences (e.g., “Medium,” “Medium-Well,” “Extra Spicy”), this feature is also useful for other industries, such as retail (e.g., “Gift Wrap,” “Color”) or services (e.g., “Eco-Friendly Packaging”). Preferences enable customers to personalize their orders based on available options, ensuring a better experience tailored to their needs.
Accessing the Item Preferences Section
Navigate to Menu Manager > Item Preferences in your dashboard.
This page displays all existing preferences and allows you to add, edit, or delete them.
Creating a New Preference
Click “Add New” to create a new item preference.
Configuring Preference Details
Name: Enter a name for the preference. Examples:
Food-related: “Medium-Well,”
Retail-related: “Gift Wrap,” “Color”
Publish Status: Toggle Publish ON to make the preference available for customers.
Assigning Preferences to Products/Services
When adding or editing a menu item, link relevant Item Preferences to ensure customers can select their customization options when ordering.
Managing Preferences
Click Save to finalize the preference setup.
Return anytime to edit, update, or remove preferences as needed.
Use the toggle switch in the Preferences List to enable or disable a preference instantly.
Sorting and Searching Preferences
Use the Sort button to reorder preferences.
Use the Search Bar to quickly find a specific preference.
